Hyperloop UPV, the innovative project backed by Logista, has been awarded first place at the prestigious European Hyperloop Week held recently in Zurich (Switzerland). Specifically, the Spanish project won the Complete System Award, the most prestigious award in the competition.
In awarding the prize, the jury not only evaluated the demonstration, but also all the research and technical documentation. This achievement underlines the excellence and innovative ability of the Hyperloop UPV team, as well as the strategic collaboration of Logista in the success of this initiative.
Hyperloop UPV has been developed by a team of 50 students from multiple disciplines at Valencia Polytechnic University who have come together to design, implement and perfect hyperloop technology. This groundbreaking technology sustainably combines the comfort of a train with the speed of an aeroplane. It thus manages to reduce distance and time, revolutionising how we move. This vehicle can reach speeds of 1,000 kph in a 100% environmentally friendly way thanks to magnetic levitation and vacuum technology. In fact, the UPV project was the only one of the candidates to achieve dynamic levitation.
Logista has contributed to the success of Hyperloop UPV. Through Logista Parcel, the company arranged the transport of the prototype from the workshop to the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, where the prototype was presented on 19 June. Logista Freight subsequently transported the vehicle to Switzerland to participate in the competition and will also be responsible for its triumphant return to Spain.
The Hyperloop UPV team has once again demonstrated its ability to lead in the field of technological innovation, by presenting Vèsper, a vehicle that redefines the future of transport. The synergy between Logista and Hyperloop UPV made it possible to combine first-class logistics with advanced technological development, leading to a resounding success at the European Hyperloop Week.
“We are proud to have been part of the team that contributed to the success of Hyperloop UPV at the European Hyperloop Week. This initiative shows how we can help to promote projects that combine talent, innovation and sustainability,” says Juan José Guajardo-Fajardo, Logista’s HR, Marketing and Communications Director.
